Predictions for the top Christmas Gifts this year
1. The Famous Five Survival Guide - £14.99
Ever wished you could be one of the Famous Five? Now you can be,
by using all the information they have collected to solve this mystery
of the Royal Dragon of Siam. Not just the story of a search for
the bejewelled dragon, this book includes useful advice on topics
such as code breaking, using a compass and building an escape raft,
first aid, camping, and much more.
I think this'll be a top gift idea for someone who loves watching
Ray Mears but never gets anywhere wild or wet!
2. Plasticine Morph Set - £9.99
Do You Remember Morph? Discover how to make your very own Morph
with this placticine set, including instructional DVD, demonstrated
by Morph creator Peter Lord. There are also five Morph accessories
such as a miniature skateboard, cricket bat and fake beard so some
of the winsome character's classic antics can be re-enacted. For
inspiration the DVD also contains 15 original Morph episodes. The
Plasticine never dries out so he can be endlessly modelled, shaped
and remade at a later time - in between he can live in the kit's
wood-effect box that looks much like Morph's original home.
For fans of Tony Hart's program - Morph is a moment of nostalgia
to bring a smile to a lot of faces!
3. Non Stop Spinning Top – £7.99
Can you imagine a top that seems to spin forever, an amazing animated
table top light show? Well here it is! With a gentle spin, it picks
up speed and keeps balanced defying physics and gravity. The built
in light show changes as it spins and fills the room with light.
Spinning round and round and round.
4. Remote Control Falcon - £39.99
The RC Flapping Falcon is an ormithopter, meaning it flies like
a bird by flapping its wings. This is difficult to achieve as the
wings need to generate lift as well as thrust.
The unique and patented Directional - Wings, allows for superb control
even in confined areas, something that was never possible in previous
RC products.
The flight of this flapping falcon is so realistic that prototypes
have been taken out of the sky by real birds of prey!
• Controllable up to a distance of 40m
• Flight time of around 10 mins per charge (charges directly
from handset)
5. Top of the Drunks Trump Cards - £4.99
This is an ingenious drinking game version of the popular Trumps
format. Cards feature drunken stereotypes such as Hayley Burberry
(Chav) and Pat Slapper (Holiday Maker) as well as some shamelessly
familiar faces; can you guess who Courtney Winohouse or Winston
Burphill might refer to? Even poor old Father Christmas makes an
appearance. Characters are scored in five categories including 'Favourite
Tipple', 'Medical Record' and 'Party Trick', allowing cards to be
won or lost in the usual way. 'Dirty Pint' forfeit cards (very nasty)
have been added to create a drinking game, although these can easily
be removed for the teetotallers version. Cutting grown-up humour
for the pub or dinner parties.
6. Guitar Rockstar - £14.99
This is an ingenious new gadget that allows everyone to act out
their rock star fantasies!
The clever device contains eight pre-programmed rock classics such
as Queen’s ‘One Vision’ and ‘Wild Thing’
by the Troggs. Select one of these and a backing track plays - the

Cleverly, the correct chord is automatically played, so anyone can
air guitar along with satisfying results, and those with a good
knowledge of the songs will feel particularly accomplished!

9. Stylophone - £14.99
Anyone of a certain age will remember this iconic noise maker (or
pocket electronic organ as it is promoted) from the 70s and the
forerunner of personal keyboards.
Packed with resistors, oscillators and diodes, it’s played
by touching a stylus against a metal keyboard to make stylised electronic
sounds that have inspired musicians like David Bowie, Pulp and The
White Stripes. It was famously promoted by Rolf Harris at the end
of the 60s and went on to sell over three million pieces.
This re-launch is very close to the original with volume control,
vibrating effects and now the ability to plug in to an MP3 player
and play along with the songs.
10. Henry Computer Hoover £9.99
The familiar and winsome Henry Hoover now comes in handy desk-top
size to suck up crumbs and all those bits of fluff that materialise
when no one is looking. The friendly vacuum is a perfectly miniaturised
version, easily emptied and an object of desk top envy that would
make an ideal office secret Santa gift.
